Smaller, Youth-Focused Organizations for Suicide Prevention

This hotline is sponsored by Parents Against Teen Suicide (PATS). Their mission is to serve North Carolina youths who are at risk for drug use or abuse, domestic violence, and suicide by providing prevention and education activities for youths and their parents. TEACH is a suicide prevention education service provided by PATS.

This program was founded in 1994 by parents of Mike Emme, who took his own life. It gives links to crisis hotlines, opportunities to volunteer, and links to suicide prevention resources.

This site contains information provided by the San Pedro Youth Coalition. Topics include the dangers of suicide, talking to children about suicide, intervention agencies, and youth crisis hotlines.
