  • Suicide Prevention Resource Center

    SPRC offers information about suicide prevention efforts in each state. This includes state plans for suicide prevention, state suicide data, and crisis centers in each state.

  • National Alliance on Mental Illness

    NAMI is a nonprofit organization whose members include consumers, family, and friends of people affected by mental illness. NAMI has local and state chapters to help address the needs of the community.

  • American Association of Suicidology

    The AAS in an organization of mental and health professionals, researchers, suicide survivors, and many other people involved in the study of suicide as a means of prevention. The site is research oriented.

  • National Strategy for Suicide Prevention

    This organization, funded by the CDC, SAMHSA, NIH, HRSA, and IHS, offers resources for state suicide prevention programs as well as listings of private organizations devoted to suicide prevention.

  • Preventive Fact Sheet on Suicide

    This is a preventive fact sheet for Native American populations. It contains general information on risk facts and preventive steps.

  • Healing of Nations

    The Healing of Nations organization provides information about suicide in the Native American community. The site discusses the psychology of suicide, warning signs, ways of coping, high-risk factors, and peer counseling.
