This module will address the detection and diagnosis of opioid abuse and dependence in the general patient population via effective patient-physician interaction and screening techniques. - Opioid Use Disorders and Common Comorbidities
Psychiatric and physical comorbidities frequently co-occur with opioid use disorder, but often go unrecognized and untreated. - The Role of the Practicing Physician in Substance Abuse Treatment and Working with Multidisciplinary Teams

This module will help the learner understand the pharmacology of opioid receptors and the opioids that interact with them.
Advanced Concepts
- Chad Wright - A Remote Live Standardized Patient (OSCE)
This Standardized Patient encounter will train health professional learners when and if it is appropriate to screen for drug abuse, specifically opioids, and to evaluate the interpersonal interviewing techniques of learners.
